"PHP IS DEAD...
That's the first thing I heard when I first heard of PHP, it's so ironic that the moment I heard about it is the same time my love hate relationship with it started. This relationship is what made me feel in love with it in the first place.
I have decided to start learning PHP now and make a follow up article about it so that I share my step by step Journey becouse I feel like once You explain something you've learned to someone it sticks and becouse it's great to share, maybe am not the only one struggling to learn PHP. There might be a bunch of you there in the struggle as well cought up in tutorial hell as well, and if you can relate .. welcome to my journey, our journey and the connection will leave a mark am pretty sure it will.
Where am at?
Well as if today am following this great tutorial I found on YouTube by Coding with Gio a step by step for learning PHP and so far it's the one I found that has great reviews and I felt like I should revive myself with it. You see this is not my first attempt with PHP, I started attempting to get to know it since my secondary school days and it never seam to stick, I have lead countless books, watched videos and anything in between and it never seems to click but, now now am going for it no matter what. And it starts here. You see the first statement on top of this article is what you'll hear from many people about PHP, and however you might see it is entirely up to you, but think about it, almost 70% if am not mistaken of the Web as of today is written in PHP and you believe it's dead?
Imagine every developer rewriting already written and functioning websites just becouse PHP is dead 😂🤣😅😅🤣 my foot! It's so hilarious.
That's why ai have taken the bold step to try and get to know it batter an whatever I learn from it am pretty sure it will be valuable on the long run. So stay with me as I share this incredible journey with you am pretty sure it will click along the way and server side programming with PHP will never be the same for me and for you if you stick with me
Note: this is not a PHP tutorial but rather me sharing what am learning to foster my understanding and sharing is part of learning.
If you would like to join in on the journey no matter at what point you are in PHP please follow up every article I will be sharing (although it won't a day to day thing)
This will be interesting, so buckle up.
Let's write some code!!!
